The home theatre group of the
Marion Cultural and Civic Center
For over 30 years Paradise Alley Players
has been the non-profit community theatre group of
the Marion Cultural and Civic Center - an entity of the city of Marion. We are proud to hold that distinction.
Providing quality, family oriented shows has
always been our goal. We hope to continue to have the
support of you, our audience for the next 30 years.
Bravo to you, our fans!
2008 is our 31st year performing for
Southern Illinois audiences. Our goal is to
perpetuate theatre arts in the area. We do this
through our many progams such as,
the Playwright competition, the Children's
Theatre Workshop, Summer Lab Theatre,
the annual Children's show, and our family
oriented productions.

Actors Needed 6 males ages 25 - 70 years and 6 females ages 18- 70 years, 1 6ft Pooka rabbit age 100 - 500 years
This Pulitzer Prize winning play written by Mary Coyle Chase tells the story of Elwood P Dowd and his friend Harvey - an invisible 6 foot Rabbit. Elwood's dear sister Veta tries hard to deal with her brother speaking to an invisible rabbit as best she can but when Elwood brings Harvey to a society party Veta has given to introduce her daughter to the town's elite she decides it is time to commit him to the sanitarium. From this moment forward everything goes haywire. This madcap comedy will delight the whole family. Performances are October 17, 18, and 19.
